One of the main reasons I enjoy being in nature is because of its rhythms.
Hearing wind blowing across the grassy field reminds me of my breath flowing in and out as I lay half-asleep.
Feeling the thunder rumbling through the night has my heart racing to keep up.
Listening to a flowing creek gives me a sense of time slowing to a crawl.
Smelling the tides of a salty ocean breeze matches the ebb and flow of my energy as I pass from sleep to wake and back to sleep.
These rhythms come from all around and excite all of your senses if you are willing to be present and exist within the natural world.
Sit. Breathe. Listen. Feel. But most importantly, Do Not Think and you will be there!

Beautiful post! You captured how we can move with the rhythms of nature. It’s what I always feel when I’m out there too…or, really, any time I take a moment to be present. Nature is everywhere 🙂
Thanks Desserae…I love feeling nature that way! Being present goes a long ways to restoring by peace!
